As we move into a phase of expansion — new verticals, international growth, a stronger brand footprint — we are scaling the Design team, which works hand-in-hand with Brand, Product Marketing and Growth in a bilingual (French–English) environment.
We are opening a Senior Art Director – Marketing & Brand (7+ years) position: a hybrid role blending creative direction, visual design and hands-on marketing production.
Reporting to the Director of Design, you will help define and embed a sustainable, coherent and ambitious marketing art direction — within a team that values autonomy, accountability and curiosity.
We are looking for a Senior Art Director who brings strong creative ownership to marketing campaigns, with the ability to work confidently across multi-platform digital environments and within bilingual, multicultural contexts. Demonstrated, hands-on experience in concepting and producing high-quality work — whether in an agency setting or on creatively demanding, fast-paced projects — is essential.
The role is based in Paris, with a minimum in-office presence of three days per week to ensure close, meaningful collaboration with the Design and Marketing teams.
Art Direction & Craft
You bring a refined graphic sensibility, a sharp typographic eye and the ability to shape a coherent visual language over time — lifting the creative bar across the board.
Create marketing visuals that are clear, restrained and highly considered, in line with Contexte’s identity.
Use typography as a core driver of expression: hierarchy, rhythm, balance, density and narrative intent.
Build and sustain living visual systems — across formats and campaigns — that evolve without losing their edge or integrity.
Deliver or oversee end-to-end visual execution: typography, composition, imagery and iconography.
Elevate the creative quality of campaigns (social, ads, email, display, landing pages) through precision and intentionality.
Maintain an exacting standard of craft: coherence, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Marketing Concept & Production
Working in close partnership with the Brand, PMM and Growth teams, you turn marketing intentions into visual propositions that are coherent, legible and commercially effective.
Distil messages into clear, structured and instantly graspable visual concepts.
Shape a visual narrative with intent: promise, proof points, rhythm, pacing, tension and points of focus.
Put forward strong creative directions: visual concepts, design principles, tone and calibrated levels of intensity.
Design and adapt multi-platform formats — particularly digital (social, ads, landing pages, email) — ensuring a consistent and distinctive visual language.
Design or refine landing pages by orchestrating hierarchy, spacing, proof points and conversion flow.
Produce smart variations in partnership with Marketing, operating with a genuine test-and-learn mindset.
Collaboration & Scoping
Acting as a hinge between Design and Marketing, you bring structure, clarity and focus to the creative process, ensuring that both teams operate with intention and alignment.
Partner daily with Brand, PMM and Growth to sharpen intentions, messages and priorities.
Play an active role within the Design team: uphold standards, contribute to reviews, and ensure continuity with the overarching art direction.
Streamline the end-to-end workflow: articulate visual intentions, define decision criteria, manage iterations, and anticipate risks.
Reframe briefs with precision: clarify the ask, surface blind spots, and probe for the right level of detail.
Set up alignment checkpoints that anchor objectives, messages, audiences, formats and constraints.
Bring a decisive visual point of view: clarify criteria, frame viable routes, and steer teams towards coherent, high-quality outcomes.
Organisation & production
You ensure a production process that is robust, structured and sustainable. You’re able to work in fast cycles without compromising quality, while contributing to organisational clarity and shared best practices within the Design team.
Structure files, naming conventions, versions and exports to ensure stability and clarity within a shared workflow.
Make full use of existing Figma systems (styles, grids, modules) to produce efficiently and reinforce visual consistency.
Build or adapt pages in a no-code tool (Webflow or equivalent) with accuracy and intent.
Prepare visual kits and lightweight systems to accelerate production cycles and support collaborative work.
Maintain a consistent level of quality, even under volume or time pressure.
Spot production dependencies and risks early — and plan accordingly.
Talent Management
Brief and oversee external partners (motion, illustration, photography) with clarity and high standards.
Align their deliverables with the visual identity and marketing objectives.
Ensure quality control that meets the brand’s expectations.
