Position SummaryDeluxe’s localization arm specializes in subtitling, closed captioning and translation services for major motion picture studios, film festivals, broadcast, streaming, and cable networks.We are currently seeking experienced English to Japanese subtitle translators to join our freelance network.
Candidates must be based in EMEA time zones and available to work regularly during EMEA business hours.
Main DutiesTranslating subtitles from English into JapaneseProofreading and editing client-provided materialsConforming existing scripts/subtitle files to particular specifications of various clients
Candidates must meet the following criteria:At least two years of professional experience in audio-visual translation and subtitlingBe a native speaker of JapanesePossess strong knowledge of EnglishExperience with subtitling software (e.g. SST); having SST G1 is a plus but not mandatory
