Coordination and Advisory

• advise the Board of Management of Eurimages on the design and preparation of Fund policy and strategy;
• manage implementation and follow-up of strategic directions;
• ensure effective and efficient management of the Fund’s activities and financial resources;
• supervise the organisation of meetings of the governing bodies of the Fund and other events, including overseeing the preparation and publication of official documents;
• oversee the operation of the Co-production Support Scheme;
• report to the Board of Management on results, opportunities and risks;
• provide strategic guidance and advice to the Director General of Democracy and Human Dignity and the Director for Democracy and report to the latter on results achieved, future requirements, risks and opportunities;
• contribute to the shaping and implementation of policies and programmes within the Directorate General of Democracy and Human Dignity.

Leadership and Staff Management

• provide leadership to the Eurimages’ secretariat;
• motivate the team, foster co-operation and team spirit, and encourage professional development;
• manage human resources by ensuring clear allocation of roles and responsibilities and a harmonious working environment.

Communication and Representation

• represent the Council of Europe and Eurimages in interactions with international, national, and regional institutional partners, as well as with industry professionals;
• maintain and expand relationships, contributing to institutional dialogue and reflection on issues relevant to film and audiovisual policy.

Requirements to apply

You Must

hold a higher education degree or qualification equivalent to a master’s degree (2nd cycle of the Bologna process framework of qualifications for the European Higher Education Area) in media studies, economics, political science, cultural policy or management, business or law or similar subject;
have extensive professional experience in the field of international co-operation in the film and audiovisual sector, preferably in an institutional setting;
demonstrate proven and relevant management experience, including team leadership and development; recognised ability in managing human resources, programmes, projects and budgets;
possess excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate and partner with multiple stakeholders;
have a very good level of English (one of the two official languages of the Council of Europe) and a good level of French (the second official language).

You Must Also

be a citizen of one of the member states of the Council of Europe and fulfil the conditions for appointment to the civil service of that state;
have discharged any obligation concerning national service (military, civil or comparable);
not be the parent, child, stepchild or grandchild of a serving staff member of the Council of Europe;
be under the age of 65 years.
